My name is Liz and I am a hungry man's wife.
Growing up as the only girl in a family of four kids,
I am no stranger to the bottomless pit we like to call a man's stomach.
Married to a very gorgeous construction worker, I am faced with the daily
challenge of feeding my very hungry, very high-metabolised husband.
Not only is there the matter of a satisfying dinner, we mustn't forget the
all important leftovers for lunch. After all, a man needs his fuel.
In the past three years, I have gained two things:
1) Body fat, a by-product of a hungry man's meal. And
B) A few great recipes, but by all means not enough for a lifetime.
While I will be forever pining away for my once, ridiculously good-looking, body,
I would like to attend to the latter, as the potential for success would seem more probable. I am always rummaging through cookbooks, picking my lovely friend's brains and scouring the internet for a meal that is healthy, tasty, filling and easy enough to prepare with a baby on my hip. In this blog I plan to share recipes and experiences I come by on my quest for a decent hungry man's meal. As we all know the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and a fed husband is a happy husband...much like my 10 month old daughter, come to think of it.
Salute,
A Hungry Man's Wife
